The pilot of a plane crashed while landing in Vanuatu is being praised for his exceptional skill but has been stood down while the incident is investigated.It crashed at 6pm on Monday in Le Lagon Resort Port Vila. It was carrying five passengers and two pilots.It was carrying two New Zealand couples and an Australian man was returning to Port Vila from Tanna Island where the tourists had been to see the Yasur Valcano.The aircraft arrived at Port Vila and the weather turned particularly nasty.It was raining and the pilot couldn't see the runway Mr Turner told the Herald.
