The Sky Tower Trip
It was Tuesday the 20th September. We went on the bus to get to the Sky Tower. It was fun. Once we arrived we were underground. We went through the shop to get to the theatre. Then the man was telling us about Auckland and all about the sky tower. He then showed us a film about how Auckland may be called the city of sails but years ago it was all about the volcanoes. It was also saying that the first people to come to New Zealand that were Maori and not Europeans. The Maoris made the Europeans welcome. After that lots of other people started coming to New Zealand. People from India and China. People from all over started coming. Then once we had watched the film we went up the lift to the main observation level. We had a look at the view of all of the structures. It was so cool. We also watched someone do the Sky jump. He was screaming like mad. Next we went down the stairs to the Refuge level. It is where they go if there is a fire emergency. You could hear the wind blowing through the metal because there was nothing outside. It was just you and the sky. After that we went back down to the theatre where we had a little talk. Then went back on the bus to school.C.W
