The Sky Tower
Yesterday I went to the Sky Tower. We were on the bus. It was a long way to get to Auckland city. It took 25 minutes. There were thing's I liked seeing on the way to Auckland. This was my second time going to the Sky Tower. We arrived at the Sky Tower. Then we got off the bus and we met a man named Brent who would guide us.When we got in the Sky Tower Brent showed us a video about the past of how Auckland was in old days. Maui and the big fish and how the south island was mad.Brent took us to the main deck in the Sky Tower but I did not like heights but it was ok. Then Brent took all of us to the refuge room where we very lucky to go. After that Brent called the elevator with a special key and then we went down back in cinema.Logan Carr said thank you behalf of Botany Downs school.
at Sky city:>
Yesterday was the first day in several years that I had been to the Sky Tower .As I was saying it is so exciting especially not remembering what it looks like .So as I got to school the bell rang.I ran into class . I still had to work through to when the morning tea bell rang. We all ate our morning tea and left on the bus .All the girls sang in the bus and before I knew it I was able to take photos on my phone . Soon we arrived. The instructor showed us around and we watched a little show .Next we went up the biggest lift I had ever been on. It was so big I felt like I was floating in mid air . Then we got to the top witch was at the sky deck. Everyone ran to the window with excitement. People took tons of pictures including me .Soon we had to go in the refuge room which was really speical for us because we are the only people allowed inside it .They told us what it was used for and why. We went back down the lift to say thank you then we left with all our memories on our phones and cameras .
That was a great adventure.

I saw two sky jumpers. Then we went to the refuge place. We went by stairs. It was cold there. We learnt about what it was used for. Then we got the lift back down to the floor we started on.We had to go to the theatre again and wait for the others there. We got asked some question by Mrs Foot and we answered them. Then we left to go back to school. We also had music on the bus.
The Sky Tower
Yesterday our class went to the Sky Tower.First we went underground to a theatre. We talked about the Sky Tower. It weighs the same as 6'000 elephants and it's height is the same as 3'500 buses end to end.I thought it was fun in the elevator because you could see through the side of the tower. Then we got to level 51,the observation room. It was awesome. We were allowed to roam around for 20 minutes.I saw 2 sky jumpers. Then we went into refuge room. It was cold and loud.We talked about the room and how many times they had to use it.Then they called the elevator and we went down. I was thinking that the Sky Tower was awesome.
Trip to the Sky Tower
Hi and I am going to share with you my experiences in going to the Sky Tower. One of the questions going through your mind is how long did it take to build the Sky Tower ? It took 33 months and it weighs the same 6,000 elephants. I know it is so amazing. You have to be 10 or over to do the Sky walk & the Sky jump. They had a refuge room for fires and other emergencies . At the top of the sky tower there is a restraunt. It spins around slowly so people can see the views.
Trip to the Sky Tower
Yesterday I went to the Sky Tower. The Sky Tower is made of concrete, steel and Glass. We saw people jumping off the Sky Tower. It looked cool. We went to the emergency room. It was called the refuge room. We also watched a movie about NewZealand and how unique it is.
The Amazing Trip to the Sky Tower
" Wow that's huge!! " I remember hearing some kids saying as we pulled up next to the Sky Tower.
I've got to admit it was pretty big! It could fit 37 school or normal town buses in it. That's BIG!
Apparently it weighed as much as 6000 elephants! WOW I wouldn't like to be under 1 elephant let alone 6000!
The bus drive there was really noisy. It included a couple of kids singing or humming to the songs on the radio that the bus driver put on.People were shouting over the noise trying to talk. Some people were just sitting there quietly because they have nothing to talk about with their friends.
It was really freaky when my friend and I started jumping on the glass that you were supposed to look down on in the Sky Tower. You could have walked on it but we decided to have more fun.
We also watched a 14 min video about how the Sky Tower was built.
I had a lot of fun in the Sky Tower and I know I will hopefully go back someday again!!!

A perfect visit to the Sky Tower
It was Tuesday the 20th September. The perfect day to go to the Sky Tower.
I woke up and looked outside at the nice shiny day thinking it was just an ordinary day but when I got to school everyone was telling me ''We're going to the Sky Tower '' So when the bell went I quickly did my work and got ready for the Sky Tower trip. Then off we went. On the way there I was sitting with Georgia
on the bus. It was fun on the bus because Georgia and I were taking photos of big buildings.
When we got there we saw a movie and learnt a few new things, then we went up to level 41 and looked at some big buildings. On the way back down we went down to the refuge room. In there we learnt some other new things like there was a ball like thing that goes on the top of the Sky Tower that gets most of the lightning strikes and brings it to the ground. Most of the things I already knew but one thing I did learn is that ''I'm afraid of heights''!

The Sky Tower Trip
It was Tuesday the 20th September. We went on the bus to get to the Sky Tower. It was fun. Once we arrived we were underground. We went through the shop to get to the theatre. Then the man was telling us about Auckland and all about the sky tower. He then showed us a film about how Auckland may be called the city of sails but years ago it was all about the volcanoes. It was also saying that the first people to come to New Zealand that were Maori and not Europeans. The Maoris made the Europeans welcome. After that lots of other people started coming to New Zealand. People from India and China. People from all over started coming. Then once we had watched the film we went up the lift to the main observation level. We had a look at the view of all of the structures. It was so cool. We also watched someone do the Sky jump. He was screaming like mad. Next we went down the stairs to the Refuge level. It is where they go if there is a fire emergency. You could hear the wind blowing through the metal because there was nothing outside. It was just you and the sky. After that we went back down to the theatre where we had a little talk. Then went back on the bus to school.C.W
A day at the Sky Tower
On the 20 September we went to the Sky Tower.
It was lots of fun. The part I liked most was when we went to the top of the Sky Tower and we stood on the glass floor. It felt like it was going to smash when we jumped on it.
I thought it was funny when my friend took a picture of Dan Carter in only his underwear. It was on a Jockey's poster on a building.
I enjoyed it so much, I really can't wait till I get to go back.

My experience being a soloist!!!!
Hi, today I want to tell you about my experience being apart of the Sommerville Festival. First of all my heart was pounding like a big base drum because I was going to sing a solo and I didn't think I would sing that well. I was shaking like a baby rattle because I was so so nervous. I remembered that I have sang handreds of times in front of a lot of people so theres nothing really to be afraid of. I went on that stage and knocked them dead!!!!Then it came to the time that I had to sing solo.I got off my chair went on the front of the stage and sang my little heart out. I could see that my parents were extremely proud of me!!!!

Fun Kawau!
When I went to confidence course I was really scared. When everyone said it was my turn I was about to say no but then people cheered me on so I said ok.When I started I could just reach the lines.I went really slowly but when I finished I said out loud I did it!
Kayaking
I loved kayaking. It was so much fun. We got to kayak to Stingray Bay and look for sting rays. Some people saw some but I didnt .We kayaked for a very long time. My arms got tired now and then but it was so much fun I forgot all about my tired arms! We went under six wharves . On our way back to Camp Bentzon all of my friends were splashing me with water . When we went all the way back to camp I was sad that we had finished kayaking.

Kawau's Killer Hill
On the bus ride to Kawau Island it felt like we would never get to the ferry on time. I think that's just because I was soooooooo tired. On the ferry to Kawau it started to rain just as we hopped on! When we arrived at Kawau we had to unpack everything, which I thought was tiring. What was even more tiring was climbing up Killer Hill.WOW. I thought cross country was tiring ,but Killer Hill, nothing can compare to well you know,(Killer Hill)!!!My favourite things about camp
The year six camp was awesome.I liked everything we did because all the things we did at camp were always fun and exciting. If I had to pick one thing that was my most favourite it would have to be jumping off the pontoon.I loved everything about camp so much I didn't want to leave on Friday morning. The dinners were atually better than I had expected!
